After arrival at Larnaca International Airport, we begin our spiritual journey on the island of Cyprus. The highlight of our first day is a visit to the Hala Sultan Tekke, one of the most important Islamic pilgrimage sites in the world. Here lies the Tomb of Ummu Haram (Umm Haram bint Milhan), the maternal aunt of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), who accompanied the first Muslim naval expedition to Cyprus during the reign of Caliph Uthman ibn Affan in 649 AD. She fell from her mule and died on this spot, making her one of the first Sahaba buried outside Arabia. We explore the Old Historical City of Larnaca and visit the local Mosque for prayers.

We travel east along the coast to the resort area of Ayia Napa, known for its crystal-clear turquoise waters. We visit Nissi Beach, one of the most beautiful beaches in the Mediterranean, and explore the medieval Ayia Napa Monastery in the heart of the town. We continue to Cape Greco, the southeastern tip of Cyprus, where we walk along the dramatic sea caves and natural rock arches. We visit the Bridge of Love, a natural stone arch over the sea that has become an iconic landmark. We end the day watching a spectacular sunset over the Mediterranean from Cape Greco's clifftops.

We travel inland to Nicosia, the last divided capital in the world. We explore the city on both sides of the Green Line, the UN buffer zone that has divided the Greek Cypriot south from the Turkish Cypriot north since 1974. We cross at Ledra Street, the famous pedestrian crossing point, and explore the Old Town on both sides. We discover the contrasts and connections between the two communities, the Ottoman mosques and hammams of the north, and the Venetian walls and churches of the south. This is a unique experience that illustrates the complex history of Cyprus.
